Brent Housing Management is seeking a Leasehold and Finance Officer to help deliver an effective income and recovery service.

About the post

As Leasehold and Finance Officer, you’ll help to manage leasehold enquiries end-to-end and manage Brent Council's 4,000 leaseholders.

You’ll gain finance management skills through accurately calculating and billing service charges, working collaboratively with multiple services across Housing to deliver exceptional services to leaseholders.

You’ll have the opportunity to flex your creative skills, managing a Home Ownership panel with your team to drive improvements and coordinate professional responses with your caseload of leaseholders.

You’ll also manage relationships between leaseholders and the Council, working to reduce stigma and increase positive perception of the Service.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, focussed and enjoy finance. You’ll want to work in a team where the shared goal is to deliver exceptional services to Brent’s leaseholders.

You’ll be passionate about going beyond billing and collection, with a commercial mindset that ensures leaseholders get value for money.

You’ll have the ability to maintain transparent and supportive relationships with leaseholders, with strong communication skills.

You should also have good understanding of housing and service charges legislation, as well as the Social Housing Regulation Act and Building Safety Act 2023.
