Richmond and Wandsworth Councils is seeking a passionate individual for the role of Development Viability Officer. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of affordable housing in Richmond and Wandsworth.
About the Role:
- Support the Principal Development Viability Officer in planning applications related to affordable housing.
- Liaise with the Planning service and external viability advisors.
- Implement and review Local Plan policies on affordable housing.
- Provide expert advice on planning applications and viability matters.
You will need a solid understanding of national, regional, and local planning policies and be proactive in recommending changes to improve processes related to affordable housing and viability.

Responsibilities Include:
- Providing support to senior officers on planning applications and negotiations.
- Applying the Councils’ affordable housing planning policy.
- Building strong relationships within the Planning service and with external partners.
- Delivering a high-quality, transparent Spatial Planning service.
