Overview

The Division of Newborn Services is a neonatal Managed Clinical Service (MCS) working across three sites. Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is looking for the right person to join an already established Band 4 Nurse Associate team, working with the neonatal nursing team across the MCS in Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's busy Newborn service. This is a highly successful and dynamic service with a reputation for the delivery of high standards of compassionate clinical care, education, and research.

As a Nursing Associate, you will be a caring, compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable professional committed to supporting the highest standards of care for infants and families. Responsibilities include delivering care in the Special Care areas of the neonatal unit and supporting the Registered Neonatal Nursing team in Intensive and High Dependency areas.

Main Duties

  • Work collaboratively within the nursing team to ensure effective patient care.
  • Provide support and training to nursing associate students and healthcare support workers.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and families.

Essential Skills

Qualifications

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Nursing Association Foundation Degree Qualification.
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 4 or above.
