Levitus Advertising is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join Levitus Advertising's vibrant team in Bicester. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that Levitus Advertising's café operates smoothly, providing excellent service to Levitus Advertising's customers while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

The café is a brand new venture and is the first of 7 to open in the Oxfordshire/Berkshire and Buckinghamshire areas over the next three years. Finding the right fit of manager is very important to Levitus Advertising as you will be controlling the day-to-day running of the business in the absence of the owner. You will be expected to control and direct the duties of crew members and ensure the safe handling of the company, its produce, and reputation at all times.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.
• Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and addressing customer inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during busy periods.
• Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.
• Help manage inventory by restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to management.
• Uphold health and safety regulations within the café environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; Levitus Advertising welcome candidates eager to learn.
• Skills in food preparation or bartending are advantageous. If you have attended a basic food hygiene course, this is an advantage.
• Leadership qualities and experience in team management will be beneficial for those looking to grow within the role.
• A background in hospitality or hotel services is a plus, highlighting your commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this position.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £6.40 - £11.90 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
