Dunelm's store in Jersey is looking for a minimum of 35 hours per week as a Stock and Trade Assistant.

Dunelm wouldn’t be where it is without Dunelm's wonderful home furniture and furnishing products. As a Stock & Trade Assistant, Dunelm's store's warehouse will be your domain. Dunelm's Team Leaders are a fundamental part of the leadership team in store. They are truly valued members of the managerial team, trusted with whole store responsibilities such as key holding, rotas, cash handling, and hosting whole store team briefs. You will also contribute to the recruitment of new colleagues, their training, and support them throughout each day.

What you'll be doing

  • This is a process-driven position and it’s all about product.
  • You will carry out audits and stock-take.
  • You’ll manage a team of colleagues whose aim is to maintain an efficient and productive warehouse.
  • Receive up to six deliveries a week and a high volume of product.
  • Stock replenishment and ordering will be part of your day-to-day, so organization is key.

This is not a solely warehouse operative-based role. Dunelm's Stock and Trade Assistants are great communicators. They know the importance of their product priorities while maintaining the ability to connect with both customers and colleagues to provide an excellent customer experience.

  • You will love helping your colleagues across the store and always contribute to your team by reporting successfully to your team leaders and store management team regularly.
  • You’ll be organized, committed, and open to learning about Dunelm’s vast range of products.
  • You’ll be confident in multi-tasking across all stock responsibilities while having a friendly chat with Dunelm's customers.
  • Be able to meet the physical expectations of this role and you’ll be comfortable working extensively with large and small items of furniture and furnishings in store.
