Sony Electronics is seeking a proactive self-learner with a passion for maximizing value and minimizing risk of spend with suppliers and facilities who wants to become a Project and Facility Executive intern at Sony, supporting the Property and Facilities Management and Project Management teams based out of Sony Electronics's Weybridge & Basingstoke offices.
Your Role
Your role will involve the delivery of many exciting property projects across Sony Electronics's European estate. Sony Electronics will be preparing to start works on a large-scale category B fit-out of a brand-new building in Basingstoke. During your time with Sony Electronics, Sony Electronics will complete the construction phase and decant from Sony Electronics's existing facility. Working alongside a highly motivated team of external consultants, developers, and contractors, you will gain valuable experience in end-to-end project management, customer engagement, and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of property projects across Europe, including construction, refurbishment, and office fit-out projects.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Help to monitor project progress, budget control, and risk management.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other external partners to ensure project goals are met.
- Assist with project reporting, data analysis, and project documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations and project updates for senior management.
- Join site visits and take part in meetings with different project collaborators.
Requirements
You will bring:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international working environment.
- Understanding of project management, practical delivery of change, construction and energy management.
- Ability to articulate yourself well, both in written and verbal form.
- Strong numerical and logical skills with an ability to make and justify data-driven decisions.
- A courageous and innovative approach to work with a self-learner attitude.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), additional European languages are advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
