Neway has a vacancy for a Street Scene Operative - Manual Labour to join Preston City Council.

Job Overview

Target Start Date: 21st of October

Duration: Initially 2 months

Pay: £12.00 per hour PAYE

Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of environmental cleanup operations including the manual removal of litter, fly tipping, fly posting, and graffiti.
• Work independently or in a small team using manual or mechanical methods to clean:
• Pathways
• Verge areas
• Roads
• Grassed areas
• Parks
• Other public open spaces
• Perform difficult waste removal duties, including:
• Building and private property clearance
• Handling of hazardous materials such as cement and asbestos sheeting

Education and Skills Requirements

Experience in manual labor and a strong understanding of environmental cleanup practices are preferred.
