Head of TLA, CPD & Digital TLA

Overview

Fixed Term Contract (January - July 2025) – Maternity Cover. eTeach UK Limited’re now seeking a Head of TLA, CPD & Digital TLA to be responsible for leading, delivering, and managing processes and activities to improve teaching, learning and assessment, professional development, and promote the use of Digital technology across South Thames Colleges Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, track, and monitor robust systems and processes for teaching, learning & assessment (TLA).
• Ensure close liaison with Group Managers and alignment to HR processes, including observations and support processes.
• Lead and coordinate the Group TLA processes.
• Work closely with the TLA leads for each site.
• Lead the TLA working group and ensure all processes are fully implemented at all sites.
• Create and update various quality policies, procedures, and handbooks, including CPD and TLA paperwork.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and resourcing of TLA & Digi Hubs.
• Manage a team of Teaching and Learning Coaches to support and develop all teachers across the group.
• Support the development of digital skills and digital pedagogy across the group.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Educated to degree level with a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or DET.
• Experienced teacher with evidence of outstanding practice.
• Experience in evaluating and improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to design, implement and manage quality improvement and professional development systems and processes.
• Knowledge of how to evaluate and report on performance and impact.
• Understanding of FE quality frameworks and legislation including OFSTED EIF and white papers.

Additional Information

This position will involve working at and travelling across all South Thames College Group sites.
