Job Summary

• Role: Shuttering Carpenter
• Location: Tunbridge Wells
• Contract Type: Temporary (Full time)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pay Rate: £230-240 per day (Dependent on experience)

The Company

A well-established national civil engineering company focused on highways, bridges, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, new residential estates, commercial builds, and railways.

The Role

As a Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for:

• Creating forms for bridges, foundations, beams, and staircases
• Building structures on site using wood or assembling metal frames made elsewhere
• Dismantling casts carefully to reuse them
• Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood or metal
• Working closely with your team to pour concrete into molds
• Checking work for accuracy
• Producing concrete blocks of precise shape and size for various constructions.

About You

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
• Ideally hold a CSCS skill card; if not, relevant references are required
• Able to work both in a team and independently
• Conscious of health & safety protocols

Skills and Qualifications

• Current and valid CSCS card or CPCS/NPORS CSCS
• Additional qualifications such as abrasive wheels, manual handling, street works, first aid, etc., would be beneficial.
