7.5T Delivery Driver

Overview

Job Overview: As a 7.5T Delivery Driver, you will be the "face of the business," delivering fresh cooking oil to the catering industry and collecting used oil. Building relationships with customers is key to ensuring timely and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspection of the vehicle for safety compliance.
• Regular vehicle maintenance and reporting issues.
• Safe driving while adhering to traffic laws.
• Loading and unloading cargo securely.
• Delivering fresh oil and collecting used cooking oil.
• Handling payments and maintaining cash accuracy.
• Communicating with dispatch and providing delivery updates.
• Recording information post-delivery.
• Reporting missed deliveries to management.
• Building customer relationships and assisting sales efforts.

Requirements:

• Driving Licence & Clean Record: Valid UK driving licence (up to 7.5T) with no points.
• Van Driving Experience: Minimum 6 months driving experience with a solid understanding of road laws.
• Valid CPC and Tachograph Card.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with the transport office and customers.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
• Customer Service Orientation: Friendly attitude to enhance customer experience.
• Sales Experience (Desirable): Advantageous but not essential.
• Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of vehicle safety regulations.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Capability to handle unexpected situations.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for handling documents.
• Reliability & Flexibility: Strong work ethic and flexibility with work hours.
• Willingness to Learn: Opportunity to train towards a 7.5T licence post-probation.
