Auto Electrical Technical Lead

Overview

Location: Faringdon Office and at customer sites when required.

Salary: £35,000 basic with bonuses for successful project deployments.

Are you an experienced Auto Electrician with a background in installing aftermarket equipment in vehicles? Fleet Witness is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to lead Fleet Witness's engineering department while overseeing all aspects of installation, documentation, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aftermarket Equipment Installation: Oversee and support the installation of vehicle tracking devices, camera systems, and other aftermarket equipment.
• Engineering Leadership: Manage the engineering team, audit installation quality, and ensure adherence to fitting instructions.
• Documentation Creation: Develop user-friendly documentation for engineers, ensuring installations meet standards.
• Training and Support: Provide training and mentorship to engineers, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Project Management: Lead deployment projects, coordinating with teams, managing timelines, and ensuring execution.
• Loom Design & Creation: Design looms for large-scale projects to assist engineers.
• Onsite Support: Cover for onsite engineers when required.
• Product Development: Contribute to new product development with Fleet Witness's R&D team.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in auto electrical installations.
• Strong understanding of vehicle manufacturers' guidelines.
• Ability to develop technical documentation for engineers.
• Project management experience in large-scale deployments.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving mindset.
