Industrial Recruitment Solutions Ltd is looking for a skilled and experienced assembly operator with a strong background in machine operations to join Industrial Recruitment Solutions Ltd's production team.

The successful candidate will assemble products, operate machinery, and ensure that all production tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts or components according to technical specifications, blueprints, or work instructions.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery (e.g., CNC, presses, cutting machines) used in the assembly process, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Perform quality checks at various stages of production to ensure that products meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues with machinery and equipment, escalating more complex issues to the maintenance team as needed.
  • Continuously monitor production processes and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the safe operation of machinery and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output, and incidents or faults.
  • Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and engineers to meet production deadlines and goals.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assembly Operative and Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics.
  • Familiarity with operating and adjusting machines such as CNC, cutting, pressing, or welding equipment.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and quality, ensuring each product meets the required specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fundamental mechanical issues with equipment and machinery.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, lifting, and repetitive motion tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within a production team.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and production quotas.

Requirements:

  • Experience in assembly and machine operation roles in a production setting.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, and PPE.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with machine maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
