The Role
Working with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland's dedicated and friendly team in Erskine, you’ll play a vital role within The Richmond Fellowship Scotland's team. You will provide shift cover to ensure continued high-quality, person-centred care and support during times of annual leave, training, or sickness. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation and medication management.
- Supporting individuals in going to appointments and activities.
- Helping manage personal finances and providing personal care.
- Providing emotional support and assisting with maintaining relationships with family and friends.
The individuals The Richmond Fellowship Scotland support enjoy being active and have many interests and hobbies, including going to college, lunch outings, attending events, and more. With your support, you will enable the people The Richmond Fellowship Scotland support to grow with independence and confidence as they work towards their goals and outcomes.
Safety and Support Techniques
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland may use CALM, which are physical intervention and escape techniques to ensure the safety of supported individuals, colleagues, and the public. Techniques include but are not limited to:
- Posture and distance when supporting.
- Understanding triggers and escalation signs.
- Guiding individuals away to deescalate situations.
Shift Patterns
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland's dedicated team provides 24/7 person-centred care, which includes early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers, and waking nights.
