To assist with the efficient operation and production of catering services provided to patients, staff, and visitors to the Catering Services Department. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the wider catering team in the provision of all catering services.
- Serving food in the restaurant and patients' plated meal service, including setting up and clearing down service stations.
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, fruit, and beverages for various services.
- Cash handling and till operation.
- General cleaning and deep cleaning of servery and restaurant areas.
- Providing information on menus and basic nutritional information to healthcare staff.
- Ensuring food hygiene standards are maintained and reporting breaches appropriately.
- Recording provisions and meals supplied to patients and securing stock according to departmental SOPs.
