In fact, it’s a big team effort, and it’s why National Trust's Collections Assistants are so important.

Working Pattern

Predicted working pattern is Monday-Friday, 8am – 1pm (finishing earlier on Fridays). Some weekend & bank holiday working will be required. Wherever possible, National Trust aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but National Trust’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for National Trust to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. National Trust’ll give you as much notice of this as possible.

Job Responsibilities

As a Collections Assistant, you’ll be working with a great housekeeping team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections. Your duties will include:

• Maintaining a keen eye on environmental conditions in a room.
• Recording signs of wear and tear and keeping accurate records.
• Engaging with visitors about the work you’re doing and the collections.
• Covering for colleagues as necessary.
