Care Home Senior Support Worker

Overview

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role within the care team, ensuring the daily needs of residents are met. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning
• Coaching support workers

The focus of this role is on maintaining high-quality personal care, respecting the dignity of individuals, and promoting their independence. You will report to the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, or Nurse.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience in a senior care role
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
• An empathetic and caring nature

Additionally, you will have, or be working towards, an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care.
