This position is part-time to support the Christmas period. You will be required to be as flexible as possible for this role.
About the Role & Team
The Cast Member engages Guests in magical experiences throughout the Store, delighting them with stories while providing options of quality, innovative products that meet their needs. They will provide exceptional service that will exceed the Guest’s expectations by focusing on the show that they experience to ensure that it is unique and memorable, while maintaining integrity of the brand and adhering to grooming guidelines.
What You Will Do
Show Sales
- Takes a proactive role in maintaining Disney brand standards.
- Maintains a neat and organized Store, on stage and back stage, ensuring product is clearly represented and available for replenishment.
- Participates in producing company visual standards to present an outstanding Store environment.
- Ensures that all new products are on stage so that the Guest experiences the most current assortment.
- Assists with stock deliveries and replenishment to agreed standards.
- Participates in markdowns, event set-up, and stage sets.
- Achieves financial and efficiency goals through appropriate actions and Guest service behaviours.
- Sets priorities and handles time effectively and efficiently.
- Welcomes every guest with a smile and makes eye contact, accompanying them through the sales process.
- Performs effective till transactions that enhance the Guest perception while protecting company assets, including cash handling.
Service Contribution
- Promotes Guest loyalty by demonstrating detailed product knowledge and providing outstanding guest service.
- Provides friendly, accurate, and efficient service.
- Listens and asks questions to identify and meet Guests’ needs.
- Engages Guests at their level, allowing them to become part of the story.
- Adapts to changing needs of Guests while maintaining a high level of service.
- Learns quickly when facing new obstacles and uses information to find solutions for Guests.
- Uses creativity and product knowledge to bring stories to life.
- Performs scripted and non-scripted events for Guests in one-on-one and group settings.
- Follows all safety guidelines and complies with Company Policies (including Loss Prevention and Health and Safety Procedures).
- Ensures brand integrity by maintaining Disney Store standards of grooming and behaviour.
- Participates in Company sponsored events that integrate the Disney brand into the local community.
- Processes deliveries efficiently while following all guidelines and achieving process goals.
- Ensures accuracy in Stock Inventory Counts and tasks.
- Additional responsibilities and duties will be assigned based on business needs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Passion for interacting with Guests of all ages.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize Guests and tasks.
- Retail/service experience in sales preferred but training will be provided.
- Flexibility to work different days/shifts as needed.
- Ability to assist with store events which may be scripted or non-scripted.
- Understanding of store commercial targets and daily expectations.
- Ensuring cleanliness of on-stage and back-stage areas.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Success in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, adapting communication to the guest.
- Professional appearance and ability to learn about the product and franchise.
- Visual merchandising experience preferred, but training will be given.
- Cash handling and till work experience preferred, but training will be provided.
