What will you be doing?

CEC’re looking for enthusiastic and forward-thinking people who want to make a difference by being there when CEC's communities and customers need CEC most. As part of a multi-skilled team, you will cover different and diverse tasks in a fast-paced and energetic environment. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the store, including:
- Working on checkouts
- Shop floor assistance
- Housekeeping
- Date code checking
- Temperature checks
- Administration tasks
- In-store bakery support
You will also promote the benefits of membership to customers, encouraging people to join and have a say in how CEC's Society is run.

How will I know if I am right for this role?
At Central England Co-operative, everyone’s welcome. If you have flexibility in your working hours, including availability on evenings and weekends, CEC's stores can offer you a wide variety of shifts. You’ll have a chance to work alongside the whole in-store team, passionate about delivering exceptional service every day, making sure CEC is there when CEC's customers need CEC.
You don’t need prior experience; you just need to show pride in your appearance and actions, be willing to learn, and have a desire to do and be your best. A warm and friendly character is essential, as you will love talking and listening to CEC's customers and actively play a part in the community spirit of the store, becoming a valued member of the Society.
