Overview

The Oncology Unit is looking for a caring, compassionate, and motivated person to join University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust's close-knit team. Main Duties of the Job

The main duties of the role include:

  • Assisting in the smooth running of out-patient clinics
  • Providing communication and emotional support to patients
  • Supporting nursing staff in the chemotherapy treatment rooms
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy working environment
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and communication
  • Utilising trust and unit specific IT systems
  • Demonstrating clinical skills including phlebotomy and 12 lead ECG
  • Assisting with nurse-led PICC insertions
  • Exhibiting clerical and organisational skills
  • Serving patient drinks and lunches
