Main Duties of the Job
The main duties of the role include:
- Assisting in the smooth running of out-patient clinics
- Providing communication and emotional support to patients
- Supporting nursing staff in the chemotherapy treatment rooms
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy working environment
- Ensuring accurate documentation and communication
- Utilising trust and unit specific IT systems
- Demonstrating clinical skills including phlebotomy and 12 lead ECG
- Assisting with nurse-led PICC insertions
- Exhibiting clerical and organisational skills
- Serving patient drinks and lunches
