Deputy Nursery Manager

Overview

As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and learning experiences for children while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the team and uphold outstanding practices in accordance with statutory frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Assuming managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Nursery Manager.
• Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and practices.
• Understanding and implementing safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Leading and supporting the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Monitoring planning systems and ensuring accurate paperwork completion.
• Facilitating partnerships with parents/carers.
• Providing constructive feedback and delivering staff training.
• Ensuring adequate staffing levels and adherence to adult-to-child ratios.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree in childcare or NVQ Level 3.
• At least 5 years of post-qualifying experience.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and health and safety legislation.
• Excellent staff management skills.
• Proficiency in IT for record-keeping and childcare management.
