Are you a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) passionate about supporting children and young people with their mental health in education settings?
East Sussex County Council is currently recruiting for 5 posts in East Sussex County Council's Hastings, Bexhill, or South Downs Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in East Sussex! Four posts are permanent, and one is fixed-term for 12 months.
The MHSTs deliver evidence-based interventions using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic (CBT) approach in schools, working directly with children aged 7-17 with mild to moderate mental health issues, and their families. East Sussex County Council's team collaborates with schools to enhance their whole-school approach to emotional and mental health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide CBT-informed interventions for children's mental health improvement.
- Engage in clinical and case management supervision.
- Participate in comprehensive training opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- A passion for working with children and young people.
- Experience in providing CBT-informed interventions.
- Knowledge of school systems.
- Strong organizational skills.
