Clear Image Systems currently have an excellent opportunity for a new member to join Clear Image Systems's growing team at Clear Image Systems as a Fire and Security Systems Surveyor/Estimator.

Job Description

As a Surveyor/Estimator, your role will involve carrying out site surveys, preparing system designs, and providing quotations for a wide range of systems, primarily focusing on:

• Fire detection
• Access control
• CCTV
• Intruder detection
• Network systems

This work will cater to client requirements, both new and existing, on a nationwide basis.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications and understand client requirements
• Research suitable components and systems, ensuring compatibility
• Complete initial designs based on technical specifications
• Perform design calculations and present technical information
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers for technical data and pricing
• Populate quotations with technical information and costs
• Produce design drawings and schematics

Skills and Experience

While not essential, the following skills and attributes would be beneficial:

• CAD design experience, including Visio, CAD, or Auto Sketch
• Understanding of fire and security technical standards and systems
• Knowledge of the electrical industry, including wiring standards, ideally with an electrical background
• Experience with procurement and construction processes
• Specialist knowledge for Home Office, Police Custody, and Prison specifications is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers
• Proficient in IT, including MS Office, iPads, and CRM systems
• Strong time management skills

• Salary: £34,000 – £38,000, subject to experience

Additional Info

Due to the nature of the Fire & Security industry and specific contracts, successful candidates will undergo background checks, including credit checks and referencing history. Candidates must be able to achieve DBS Enhanced certification and vetting clearances for both HMP and MOD sites. All hired candidates will be subject to successful completion of these background checks.
