Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated, experienced human resources practitioner to join the NHS Informatics Merseyside HR Team. The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional, providing excellent generalist HR advice to a wide range of teams, managers, and senior managers.
Main Duties of the Job
An opportunity has arisen for an innovative and passionate HR professional to join Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust's workforce directorate in the role of HR Advisor. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to support Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust's managers' requirements to deliver perfect care. The postholder will be responsible for providing effective, proactive HR support and advice related to the operational management of services within the division, as well as supporting the wider HR function as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide first line advice on Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions and HR Policies and Procedures.
- Support managers through a range of employee relations processes including attendance management, disciplinary actions, and informal resolutions.
- Assist with review meetings, investigations, and hearings.

Qualifications
Essential
- Working towards CIPD qualification.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification.
Knowledge / Experience
Essential
- Demonstrate a range of generalist HR knowledge and experience.
- Experience interpreting and advising on terms and conditions, policies, and procedures.
- Experience providing advice on HR-related issues such as absence management and grievances.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and good employment practices.
Desirable
- NHS or public sector experience.
- Experience in administering recruitment and selection procedures.
- Experience of employee relations in a unionised environment.
- Experience using HR databases.
