Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon post with an interest in Breast Reconstruction and Microsurgery. The successful applicant should be fully trained in all aspects of plastic surgery and have a sub-specialist interest in microsurgical breast reconstruction. The post-holder will be expected to participate in the service, assisting colleagues with other key specialties including trauma, perineal reconstruction, and skin, contributing to the general furtherance of Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's Plastics Surgery Business Unit.
Main Duties of the Job
The post-holder will be based at the Queen Victoria Hospital, although mid-way through the post they will be required to provide backfill at UHSX. Responsibilities include:
- Participating in trauma service management.
- Demonstrating skills that complement existing skill mix in breast reconstruction.
- Access to shared office and secretarial support.
