Job Overview
Calderdale Adult Learning provides a wide range of Accredited and Non-Accredited courses to approximately 4,000 learners throughout Calderdale. This role is ideal for those who wish to work with adult learners looking to acquire new skills, gain qualifications, and improve their well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver basic literacy and numeracy courses to both mainstream and learning disability students.
- Assess learners' starting points and tailor learning to individual needs.
- Track progress and provide relevant information, advice, and guidance (IAG) to support future choices and pathways.
- Work effectively as part of a team and remain flexible to take on new teaching challenges as opportunities arise.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from £11,789 to £33,945 per annum, pro rata based on the actual teaching hours.
Education and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 3 teaching qualification is desirable.
- Proven track record of teaching, learning, and assessment in your subject area.
- Teaching experience, ideally with adult learners, is essential.
