Newlands Primary School is currently seeking two Lunchtime Play Leaders to join Southampton City Council's dedicated team.

Job Overview
The main purpose of the role is to look after and interact with the children at lunchtimes.
Responsibilities
- Organise and deliver activities that engage and encourage children to play and build friendships.
- Promote good behaviour and help children to resolve conflict following Southampton City Council's behaviour policy.
- Ensure that play equipment is available, usable, safe, and correctly stored after use.
- Provide welfare support to children as required.
Working Conditions
The role is mainly outside in the playground unless indoor lunchtime is necessary due to bad weather.
Requirements
- First aid trained (or willing to go on a first aid course).
- Enhanced DBS will be required.
Salary and Benefits
The salary is £23,500 per annum, pro rata, amounting to £2,723 actual.
Shift Timing
Work hours are 5 hours per week (1 hour per day from 12:15 PM - 1:15 PM), term time only.
