Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust have an exciting role available for a Mental Health Practitioner within the ABC Primary Care Network in Maidstone. This position is part of the Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme, aimed at bridging the gap between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health services. The focus is on delivering high-quality Mental Health care in a Primary Care setting.
Role Overview
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker to enhance the experience for individuals with mental health needs. The responsibilities include:
- Providing early assessment and access to treatment and support.
- Improving mental health and wellbeing in primary care.
- Engaging in transformational work across the primary care network.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in a Primary Care and/or Community Mental Health Team setting.
- Excellent assessment and communication skills.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car due to service requirements.
Support and Development
The successful applicant will benefit from:
- Regular supervision with a Senior Mental Health Practitioner.
- Professional supervision and group peer supervision.
- Day-to-day support from a multi-disciplinary team.
