About the Role

The Medical Oversight Coordinator will manage core functions in Medical Oversight, providing support to the Head of Oversight. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Aeromedical Centres, Aeromedical Medical Examiners, and stakeholders on oversight-related queries.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Oversight in various oversight matters.
  • Assist the AME Oversight Team with technical issues.
  • Review and assess applications for Aeromedical Examiner and related facilities.
  • Organize and oversee scheduling for audits of Aeromedical Examiners and Centres.
  • Respond to escalated queries and complaints in the oversight domain.
  • Provide technical support for audits and e-learning platforms.
  • Participate in on-site audits of AME clinical practices as required.
  • Contribute to oversight actions related to provisional suspensions and revocations.
  • Maintain procedural error reporting systems and collate oversight data.
  • Liaise with external training organizations regarding oversight matters.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Medical Auditor training.
  • Contribute to the development of oversight policies and procedures.
  • Engage in the development of Performance Based Oversight in Medical Oversight.

Candidate Profile

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in medical practice or clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of aviation medicine and certification standards.
  • Understanding of medical confidentiality and data protection.
  • Familiarity with relevant IT/IS packages.

Additional Information

This position requires access to sensitive information and may involve National Security Vetting. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
