THE ROLE

M-Sport UK’re looking to appoint a proactive and organised Operations Assistant to join M-Sport UK's busy and ever-growing Operations Team. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations within M-Sport UK's site, including the safe loading and unloading of equipment, conducting vehicle maintenance checks, handling the movement of trucks for road tests and events, and the collection and delivery of parts to different locations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safely loading and unloading event equipment, tools, and supplies from trucks and storage facilities, ensuring secure transport and handling of all items.
  • Performing regular and basic maintenance checks on various vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and comply with safety standards. Promptly reporting any maintenance issues to the relevant team.
  • General driving duties locally and nationally, including airport runs, collecting and delivering parts, often at short notice.
  • Professionally moving trucks and other large company vehicles within and outside the company premises for road tests and in preparation for events, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of equipment and tools, ensuring they are sorted and maintained properly. Managing inventory lists and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Keeping the site and related facilities clean and organised. Assisting with event set-ups and other operational requirements as needed.
  • Following all company and legal safety procedures for vehicle operation and workplace safety. Engaging in ongoing safety training as provided by the company.

WHO M-Sport UK’RE LOOKING FOR

M-Sport UK’re looking for a confident and hardworking team player who takes pride in their work. You should have an enthusiastic and positive attitude, and a flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends and evenings based on operational demands.

Previous experience in a driving or logistics role, preferably within the motorsport or automotive industry, is essential. The ideal candidate must hold a full and clean UK driving license with a valid HGV licence required.

You should possess good interpersonal and social skills and work on your own initiative to make informed decisions, while also being able to collaborate and work successfully with others.
