Overview

Are you a highly motivated Occupational Therapist looking to make a real difference within the specialism of palliative and end of life care? Are you enthusiastic about supporting people with complex needs to remain in their own home or be cared for in a place of their choice? A proactive Occupational Therapist opportunity has arisen to join Barts Health NHS Trust's Specialist Palliative Care multi-professional Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide an evidence-based Occupational Therapy (OT) service to palliative care patients at home.
• Deliver safe Palliative care services over the Whipps Cross site.
• Focus on adaptation, enablement, rehabilitation, and therapeutic interventions.
• Assist in the development and evaluation of the OT service.
• Work autonomously with the Palliative team to contribute to exemplary care for patients and their families.
• Be a resource and support to hospital staff and community professionals by offering OT knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong skills in hospital and community working.
• Experience in supporting patients with advanced and terminal illnesses.
• Ability to manage complex and rapidly changing patient needs.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £40,701 - £48,054 Per Annum Inc (Pay Award Pending).
