Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated People Professional with effective organisational and interpersonal skills to join Renfrewshire Council's People & OD service. You will provide an efficient, effective, and comprehensive People & OD service to a range of Council services, Joint Boards, and agencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of professional people advice and guidance on conditions of service, employee relations, recruitment and selection, grievance, and discipline.
Qualifications
It is essential that you possess a Degree in Human Resources Management/Post Graduate Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification, together with a minimum of Associate Membership of CIPD.
Experience Requirements
You must demonstrate relevant experience in a Human Resource/People environment, preferably within the public sector (e.g., Local Government; NHS), providing advice and support to managers, along with practical knowledge of people procedures, practices, and employment legislation.
Skills
- A wide range of practical experience in dealing with employee relations issues.
- Appropriate underpinning knowledge of implementing people policies and procedures.
- Experience working with recognised Trade Unions.
- Effective communication, presentation, and written skills.
Additional Information
Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 Months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is earlier.
