Personal Care Assistant- for independent disabled lady and her dog

Overview

In this role, you'll be helping an independent disabled lady and her fabulous assistance dog live life to the full. This position requires someone who is adaptable and reliable, possesses a hands-on attitude, and has the ability to have a laugh while getting the job done.

Job Purpose

Assist the employer with activities of daily living, including self-care tasks such as feeding, hygiene, and toileting.

Criteria for Applicants

• Female
• Taller than 5'5
• Physically fit and enjoys brisk 3-mile walks
• Dog lover
• Competent driver (forwards and backwards)
• Non-smoker

The criteria are non-negotiable, derived from many years of experience.

Shift Pattern

Minimum of 7-8 24-hour shifts per month, averaging 42 hours per week, including sleep shifts. This role would suit someone with experience in 24-hour shifts and personal care, although it is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Any task which the employer would have carried out for herself pre-disability, which she now cannot do herself.
