Porter Driver

Overview
Posted:To work effectively and efficiently within a team of other Porter Drivers, Supervisors, and Transport & Logistics Coordinators to ensure the wellbeing of service users is always maintained and services provided.

- Specimens
- Oxygen
- Linen & Laundry Services
- Waste Collection
List is not exhaustive. Provide a service to all sites as required. Required to work flexible hours within the teams and support where necessary with reasonable notice to change start and finish times.

Will be expected to work Weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
Training
Supporting In-House Portering, Non-Emergency Patient Transport & General Transport services across BSMHFT/SSL Trust when required (Initial Training will be provided).
Key Duties
- Delivery, checking, and exchanging of medical gas cylinders when required and keeping up to date records.
- Responsible for the delivery of all food requirements and hospitality to all BSMHFT/SSL Locations.
- Safe collection and delivery of clean/dirty linen.
- Collection, safe transportation, and disposal of all types of waste.
- Responsible for the receipt, unloading/loading of all types of stores/PPE to all BSMHFT Locations.
- Regular cleaning of Trust vehicles and equipment.
- Occasional requirement to respond & assist in an emergency situation.
- Completion of timesheets and emailing handover reports and other necessary reports to Supervisor and other staff members.
