Overview

Royal Mail is now recruiting for a Postman at Royal Mail's Exeter Mail Centre. The role involves ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures. Responsibilities include:

Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Provide effective support to the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team
Identify root causes of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions
Monitor equipment performance and improve outputs
Work on Continuous Improvement projects for machinery

Shift attendance equates to 40 hours per week, covering early, late, and night shifts. You will need qualifications in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3). A full UK driving licence is required, as travel to other sites may be necessary.

Benefits include a salary of £51,051 per annum, night shift allowance, and a defined contribution pension scheme. Additional perks include annual leave and weekend supplements for shift attendance.
