Join NatWest Group as a Project Manager

In your new role, you’ll lead a work initiative, preparing, managing and providing reporting on all project plans, controls and resource plans. You’ll make sure that activities are in place to adequately prepare the business and engage all the appropriate stakeholders effectively to enable change to be implemented and handed over.

Additionally, you’ll be building and maintaining a positive working relationship with senior stakeholders across multiple franchises, domains and functions and at different levels of hierarchy. You’ll be required to produce executive level presentations. As part of this, you may lead a team of external suppliers, working closely with supply chain services for the appropriate supplier selection from NatWest Group's framework.

You’ll also be:

  • Empowering and leading a team, often in multiple geographies, through the project lifecycle.
  • Identifying, tracking, managing and mitigating any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
  • Leading and defining project documentation and ensuring the solution aligns with NatWest Group's strategic goals.
  • Tracking and reporting project costs to ensure the project is completed within allotted budgets.
  • Ensuring all project deliverables satisfy requirements and adhere to the agreed governance framework.
  • Shaping business cases or benefits realisation and securing funding via investment processes.
  • Addressing policy and control shortfalls and audit findings, implementing strategic solutions in response.

The skills you'll need:

You’ll need to hold an appropriate project management qualification, as well as have experience in change management. Experience of delivering change within a banking Operations team driving measurable business outcomes is essential. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and have a keen attention to detail, along with a drive to understand emerging technical capabilities and how these might be leveraged by Operations.

It'll be ideal if you have experience of Agile processes and ceremonies, as well as familiarity with Model Risk governance.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of driving large scale automation or AI with a drive to understand emerging technical capabilities.
  • Experience of analysing a broad range of data such as Operational, Technology, Finance and HR to support problem solving and decision making.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to produce executive level presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders at senior level across the bank.
  • Critical thinking skills, enabling you to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations balanced against risk.
