Job Summary:

The Porterage Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-quality portering service at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. This is a full-time, permanent role that requires a dynamic leader passionate about driving positive change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy a team of employees, assessing workload schedules and allocating resources as required.
  • Take full responsibility for Health and Safety.
  • Control and issue all portering equipment and materials within budget limits.
  • Oversee the reporting of maintenance defects of portering equipment and materials.
  • Assist in implementing portering policies to agreed standards.
  • Assess costs associated with ad-hoc work to ensure efficient service.
  • Complete quality audits quarterly and compile action plans.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, and other supervisors.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are monitored and managed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Good Health & Safety Knowledge - ideally IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Working knowledge of Concept Evolution CAFM System.
  • Excellent knowledge of portering management processes.
  • Strong quality management and audit skills.
  • Experience in coordinating planned and reactive activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and technical standards.
