Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have several vacancies for Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians (PTPTs) and are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to join Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's team.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at Grade 4/C or above, and demonstrate commitment to a career in Pharmacy, ideally with some previous pharmacy experience. Evidence of essential qualifications must be provided prior to interview.
All posts are fixed term for 2 years with a full-time contract of 37.5 hours per week, requiring participation in late night, weekend, and Bank Holiday rotas. In exceptional circumstances, a minimum of 30 hours per week may be considered.
Candidates must be available to start in February 2025. Interview dates are set for the 18th and 19th of November 2024.
Responsibilities
- Gain practical experience and develop knowledge, skills, and behaviors across various settings including dispensary and hospital wards.
- Undertake a distance learning apprenticeship delivered by an accredited education provider.
- Achieve Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Level 3 Apprenticeship.
- Register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Additional Information
A considerable amount of additional study will be required in the student’s own time. Successful candidates must possess good time management skills to balance work and study. A learning contract must be adhered to at all times.
