Overview

A vacancy for an enthusiastic administrator has become available in the ESNEFT Registration Authority Service. This role involves working across Ipswich Hospital and Colchester General Hospital depending on the service needs. You may be expected to travel occasionally to other sites within the ESNEFT organisation during the operating hours of Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 17:00.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a strong background in IT or administration services. This is crucial to ensure the success of the Trust's Registration Authority (RA) and Smartcard services. A dedication to providing excellent customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for smartcard and access queries at the organisation.
  • Provide telephone and face-to-face support regarding smartcards and access to end users.
  • Log and manage support calls for assistance within the Trust's call logging package.
  • Book appointments for users to register for, renew or unlock their smartcards and carry out the appointment on site.
  • Verify the identity of applicants to allow them to register for an NHS Care Identity (smartcard) using national identity check standards.
  • Ensure there is a readily available stock of smartcards and printer ribbons and maintain the RA equipment.
  • Work alongside the Role-Based Access Control administrators to assist end users in receiving the correct access in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the IT Service Desk, Clinical Systems Team, and the rest of IT services to provide end users with excellent customer service experience.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams proficiently.
