Senior Environmental Manager

Overview

RPS is looking for a Senior Environmental Manager to join RPS Group Limited's Environment & Infrastructure Team. This is an Associate Director level position where you'll lead the management and delivery of key environmental projects across the UK.

Role Overview

In this exciting role, you will facilitate the integration of consents and consenting activities into project delivery across design, assessment, and construction. Your responsibilities will vary day-to-day, including:

• Working with clients and attending meetings to provide advice on consent applications and compliance.
• Collaborating with environmental teams to manage delivery programmes and schedules.
• Taking on project management or project director responsibilities, acting as the main point of contact for clients.
• Managing key environmental stakeholder interfaces and ensuring the financial performance of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of environmental requirements during major development and infrastructure projects in the UK.
• A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental or related subject; an MSc or further qualifications are beneficial.
• Experience leading on environmental aspects of development projects, especially post-planning consent and during detailed design and construction.
• Proficiency in delivering consents under hybrid bills, DCO, TWA, and TCPA planning regimes.
