NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical/Counselling psychologist or Systemic Family Therapist to join NELFT North East London Foundation Trust's dedicated multi-disciplinary Community Eating Disorder Team. North East London NHS Foundation Trust Community Eating Disorder service offers the latest in evidence-based NICE compliant psychological interventions to clients and their families with an Eating Disorder. NELFT North East London Foundation Trust's team specializes in assessment and treatment across the lifespan, from age 8 with no upper age limit.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will primarily work with children and young people, their families, and caregivers. Opportunities will also be available to work across the lifespan. NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is looking for a suitably qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Systemic Family Therapist to support the team in delivering the best possible treatment.

Job responsibilities

• Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary context.
• Assess and treat service users across various settings.
• Provide NICE concordant psychological interventions.

Qualifications and experience

Essential Criteria:

• Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in exercising full clinical responsibility for psychological care and treatment.
• Experience in assessing and treating service users across full care settings.

About NELFT North East London Foundation Trust

NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction including mandatory training and systems training. The post also attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary.
