The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
• Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and determine the best course of action for repairs.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required for the installation of plumbing systems.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to plumb effectively.
• Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in plumbing work.
• Ability to weld is an advantage but not essential.
• A valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transportation of materials to job sites.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Willingness to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
