Senior Process Scientist

Overview

Thames Water is seeking a motivated career-minded individual to join Thames Water's Compliance Team as a Senior Process Scientist. As the successful candidate, you will be the centre of expertise for operational managers and process technicians, providing expert technical support and guidance to comply with business, statutory and regulatory objectives.

You will ensure the risks at all Thames Water's assets are communicated to the business and any actions progressed to the appropriate teams with the aim of preventing operational or statutory exceedances.

What you’ll be doing:

• Take ownership of root cause investigations/reporting and drive follow-up actions for both pollution and quality compliance failures.
• Ensure Thames Water's sites are compliant with all permitted requirements.
• Liaise between site Operations, Capital delivery teams, contractors, and other technical teams.
• Support regular business reporting and local/regional compliance meetings.
• Gather data for regulatory information requests for Thames Water's regulators, customers, and other third parties.

What you should bring:

• HNC or degree in a Scientific or Engineering field.
• Significant experience in water treatment processes.
• Good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work in a logical and analytical manner.
• A driving license is essential for travel to other sites.
