Job Summary:

As a Sessional Registration Officer, you will play a pivotal role in representing the council during significant events in people's lives, including the registration of births, deaths, marriages, and citizenship ceremonies. This position involves working on a casual basis, providing you with flexibility while being part of a team dedicated to high standards of care.

Salary range: £20.02 per hour

The Role:

In this role, you will:

• Register births, deaths, still-births, marriages, and civil partnerships.
• Officiate public events such as weddings and citizenship ceremonies.
• Perform various administrative tasks associated with these responsibilities.

This is a sessional role requiring flexible availability, including weekends, bank holidays, and evenings as part of a rota.

About You:

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is looking for candidates with:

• Excellent communication and public-speaking skills.
• Emotional intelligence to handle sensitive situations.
• Organizational and administrative capabilities.
• Previous experience in a registration service (NVQ City and Guilds qualification preferred but not essential).
