This permanent, full-time position offers a starting salary of £45,680 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.
Surrey County Council is excited to present an opportunity to join Surrey County Council's fantastic SEND Team as a Senior Case Manager. This role allows for hybrid working, enabling a balance between working from home and collaborating at Surrey County Council's Reigate office.

About the Team: The SEND Team operates within a broader Education & Inclusion Service, managing statutory functions related to Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments, maintaining EHCPs, and facilitating suitable educational placements.
About the Role: In this leadership position, you will collaborate with the Area SEND Manager and other Senior Case Managers to ensure high-quality SEND service delivery across the South East area of Surrey.
Your role will include managing a team of SEND Case Officers to deliver statutory SEN services effectively, meeting performance targets and optimizing resource use.
Collaboration is key; you will work with colleagues, Service Managers, and external agencies to ensure children's special educational needs are met. You will also engage with parents, carers, and children to inform them of their rights and available support processes.
Shortlisting Criteria: Applicants must demonstrate:
- In-depth knowledge of SEN legislative frameworks and experience with SEN casework
- Excellent presentation skills, especially in report writing and summarizing complex information
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships
- Proficiency in ICT and data management
- Experience managing responsibilities in a multidisciplinary environment with effective advocacy and organizational skills
An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
