The Governing Body at the Court School is seeking an energetic, dynamic, and hard-working Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for the Autumn term 2024. This position is located at a growing special school that caters to primary-aged pupils with statements for Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties (BESD).
Job Overview
This is a full-time role requiring 34 hours per week during term time (39 weeks per annum). The successful candidate will commence employment as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Support the educational and personal development of students with BESD.
- Assist in planning and delivering effective learning activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement individualized support plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress and behavior.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from £29,777 to £33,945 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours), which includes an additional ALN allowance of £548.16 per year.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements
- Must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- Experience working with children with BESD is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
