Working closely with line managers and the Leadership Team, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that everyone has the skills and confidence to succeed in their roles. Responsibilities:
- Ensure all new starters receive a thorough induction, with all details accurately recorded and signed off.
- Continuously review and improve induction programmes to keep them fresh and engaging.
- Ensure every new team member has the right equipment and tools to hit the ground running.
- Act as the go-to person for new starters during their induction, offering support and guidance.
- Create, deliver, and coordinate bespoke and refresher training programmes to help Portland Brown's people perform at their best.
- Train line managers to deliver effective training sessions, ensuring consistency across the business.
- Regularly assess training programmes to keep them up-to-date and efficient.
- Collaborate with line managers and the Leadership Team to identify training needs across the company.
- Design and deliver training programmes tailored to both Portland's goals and individual development.
- Source external training when needed to complement in-house offerings.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role or relevant transferrable skills.
- Strong knowledge of training tools, techniques, and learning styles.
- Familiarity with training evaluation methods.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and enthusiastic.
- Good IT skills, with experience in internet browsers and Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail.
- Great team player with strong interpersonal skills.
