About the Role
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday to Friday (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
Salary: £25,119.00 - £25,545.00 per annum (pro-rated)
Paid Weeks per Year: 47.36 paid weeks per year
Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
Criteria - Qualifications/Experience/Skills & Abilities/Equalities:
- NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
- Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Experience in the effective use of ICT to support learning
- Good numeracy/literacy skills
- A passion for reading
- An extensive knowledge of children’s literature across the primary age range
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Ability to form extensive and professional relationships with children and adults
- Ability to engage with professional development opportunities
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
- Commitment to the principles of Equalities
