Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Your primary role is to serve customers at the trade counter. Providing excellent customer service is crucial. Always greet customers warmly, assist them with their needs, and ensure they have a positive experience.
  • Stock Management: You will be responsible for putting stock away, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the trade counter is well-stocked and organized.
  • Order Fulfilment: Pick orders for customers accurately and prepare them for collection or delivery.
  • Loading Vehicles: Assist in loading delivery vehicles with customer orders, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Branch Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the branch and trade counter area clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Merchandising: Create attractive product displays, ensuring products are correctly labelled and priced to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Promotions: Develop and implement promotions to attract customers and boost sales. Be creative and proactive in suggesting new ideas.
  • Social Media: Generate ideas for social media posts to promote the business and engage with Boss Building Plastics's online community.

Health and Safety:

  • Safety Procedures: Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Manual Handling: Use proper techniques when lifting and moving heavy items to avoid injury.
  • Equipment Use: Operate all equipment and machinery according to safety guidelines.
  • Hazard Reporting: Report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE as required for specific tasks.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactive Approach: Always look for ways to improve processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the business.
