Job description

A J Walker (Farm) Ltd is looking for a Tractor Driver/GFW to cover the winter feeding duties of an employee doing a harvest job in Australia, due back Jan/Feb. Ideally suited to a contractor looking for some winter hours. A J Walker (Farm) Ltd is a modern family-run dairy farm. 450 summer-calving cows, TMR-fed with new telehandler and Claas machinery.

Your role will be varied and will include:

• Feeding full TMR to cows and heifers
• Mechanical bedding of loose yards
• Muck carting to neighbouring farms
• Machinery maintenance and keeping yard/silage pits tidy
• Some help with livestock handling may be required at times

Experience with tractor and telehandler work is essential. TMR experience preferred.

Full time approx. 40 hrs per week. Regular hours and fixed time off.

Local person preferred but possibility of single accommodation on the farm.

Pay: £12.00 - £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Experience:

• Telehandler and tractor: 1 year (preferred)

• Driving Licence (preferred)
