Team Leader Electrical

Overview

As a Team Leader in Electrical at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, you will be responsible for overseeing the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering team. Your role will include:

Key Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance functions within the Estates department.
• Lead, motivate, and train the maintenance team.
• Ensure effective use of labor and materials for maintenance services.
• Participate in the On-Call/Escalation Rota to address emergency situations.
• Oversee the performance management of staff, including appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain staff records related to attendance and conduct.
• Provide technical advice and liaise with key stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule, supervise, and monitor team activities to maximize productivity.
• Recruit trade staff and prepare training plans for the team.

Shift and Schedule

• Weekend availability required.
• Night shifts may be necessary.
• Flexibility in working hours is essential, with potential evening, night, or weekend shifts.
